Reserving a Space at Rowan-Cabarrus

The events department reserves and schedules the use of classroom space, conference rooms, multi-purpose space, the auditorium, and any greenspace at the college. All interested parties must submit a rental request, as well as a current certificate of insurance, and will assume all fees associated with the event. Use of college space is permitted when activity does not conflict with ongoing classes, college business, or the mission of the College.

The Events Department charges rental fees for all external organizations at all campuses unless other arrangements are made with the Events Department prior to application submittal. An application and a current certificate of insurance must be submitted from the requesting organization for processing and approvals a minimum of two weeks prior to the date of the event. All assessed fees must be paid in full prior to the date of the event.

An internal college event is designed and organized by a campus division exclusively for students, faculty, and/or staff. All other events, those to which the public is invited, and those involving a third party organization will be considered outside events and are subject to rental fees, as detailed in the Rental Rates Fee Schedule.

We welcome and encourage faculty, staff, and employees to utilize space offered at Rowan-Cabarrus Community College under the guidelines provided by the Events Department and Campus Administration. Application acceptance is subject to review including: qualification of insurance requirements, payment of fees and intended use of the space.
